Telephone Fundraising

The Wellington City Mission employs a Telephone Fundraiser called Mary, who works on a part-time basis to secure fundraising income from the Wellington business community.  Mary is based at The Mission's Head Office in Johnsonville, and is part of the Marketing and Fundraising team, reporting to the Marketing Manager.

An important message about The Mission's telephone fundraising

When you are speaking with Mary, 100% of the donation you make will go to The Mission.  There is a charity with a very similar name to The Mission also making fundraising phone calls, and they are called the Wellington City Foodbank Service Inc.  We would like to make this important distinction on behalf of both organisations, to ensure businesses are clear who they are supporting, as we have communicated with a significant number of people seeking clarification.  Thank you
